A Haircare Rebellion

A Haircare Rebellion
For years, I tuned in, took notes, followed every “expert” instruction, and waited for results that never came. Crickets. I’m talking about hair products — though, for the record, the perfect foundation is still on my creation list.

As a hairdresser of 37 years (which is like dog years — I’m really only 25), I’d heard every promise under the sun. I’d seen the frustration on my clients’ faces, felt it myself, and finally decided enough was enough. If hair loss wasn’t already disheartening, the lack of products that actually worked made it worse. My mission was simple: create a line that left hair soft, manageable, and safe for all extended hair — toupees, toppers, wigs, and extensions alike.

After one too many “close but not quite” products and a spectacularly unsuccessful collaboration with a small-batch manufacturer (turns out I don’t play well with others), I made a decision. If I could learn to make the products myself, I could make anything my clients needed. No more compromise. No more waiting for big brands to care about the small details that matter most.

So I got to work. Education, experimentation, late nights in the lab — 135 formulation attempts later, I had what I was chasing: a shampoo that performed like a dream and a collection that made hair, in every form, feel alive again. My clients became my testers, my sounding board, and my inspiration. Their feedback refined every formula until perfection wasn’t a goal — it was the standard.

Then I asked myself: what else could I fix?

As an extended-hair specialist, the next frontier was obvious — could I help people regrow their own hair? It sounded impossible. But I started with the most willing (and skeptical) subject I knew: myself. The results stopped me in my tracks. My hair — my own hair — began to return. From there, I invited others to try it, to test it, to let me document their journeys. Over and over again, the results repeated.

That’s how Delilah was born — the champion of hair regrowth and the proof that real change is possible when you stop settling for what’s available and start creating what’s needed.

This isn’t just a haircare brand story. It’s a rebellion against mediocrity — a call for real choice, real results, and real freedom.
